Burning the Flag and Shouting Fire

Today in class, we'll spend some time reflecting on and discussing the Texas v. Johnson case. First in our notebooks, we responded to the following:
What is the most persuasive line of reasoning from the majority opinion and why?
What is the most persusasive line of reasoning from the dissenting opinion and why?
Which are you more convinced by and why?
After discussing our responses, we began the film, Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of Free Speech.  We'll take notes while we watch and finish the film in the next class period.
